- Neurosurgeons -
Dr. Campbell joined Carolina Spine and Neurosurgery Center in April 2020. He received his BS degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Nevada, Reno NV and did his Medical School at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Both his Internship and Residency was done at Wake Forest Baptist Health, Winston Salem, North Carolina.
Christian received his Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Savannah, GA
Wesley C Fowler III, MD, is a 1995 honors graduate from Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forest University Winston-Salem, NC). He did his internship in surgery, as well as a residency in neurosurgery, at the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill. Dr. Fowler completed a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology Research at Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center (Chapel Hill, NC) and a Fellowship in Oncology Research at Cambridge University in Cambridge, England.
Dr. Lytle is a 1997 graduate from the University of Alabama School of Medicine (Birmingham, AL). He completed both a surgery internship and residency in neurosurgery at Washington University (St. Louis, MO.). Dr. Lytle pursued further study in the field of neurological surgery at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. When he is not at work, Dr. Lytle enjoys spending time at home with his family or traveling and snow skiing.

Dr Oxford joined CSNC in September 2017. He graduated from Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. His Neurological Surgery Residency was done at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
Physician Assistant to Dr Robert Oxford. Ashley received her Physician Assistant degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her undergraduate degree was from the University of Sciences in Philadelphia.
Dr Quinn joined CSNC in August of 2021. He graduated from The University of Minnesota Medical School. He also, did his residency and a fellowship in Endovascular, there.
Steve is a graduate of the Wake Forest University’s Bowman Gray School of Medicine and is Physician Assistant-Certified® by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Dr. Rhoton graduated with honors in 1985 from the University Of Florida College Of Medicine, then stayed in Gainesville to complete his internship in surgery and a residency in neurosurgery.

Matthew holds a Master’s Degree of Physician Assistant Studies from South University (Savannah, GA), and graduated from Brigham Young University (Salt Lake City, UT) with a double major in neuroscience and Spanish. Matthew is Physician Assistant-Certified® by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Andrew received his master for Physician Assistant at Southern Adventist University, Collegedale, TN
Dr. Steenland has been with CSNC since 2014, joining the practice shortly after completing his term as Chief Resident of neurosurgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Medical School. While at UNC, Dr. Steenland also served an internship in general surgery and earned a Master’s Degree in Health Policy & Management. An avid runner and biker, he has completed six marathons, six triathalons and a cross-country bike trip.

Lori holds Master’s degrees in both Physician Assistant Studies and Neurosurgery from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (Omaha, NE). She is also a graduate of the Physician Assistant Program at Idaho State University (Pocatello, ID). Lori is Physician Assistant-Certified® by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Orthopedic SPINE Surgeons -
Dr. Gooch has been with CSNC since 2009. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine (Charlottesville, VA.) and served his internship in General Surgery at the University of Kentucky Medical Center (Lexington KY). Dr. Gooch then served in the United States Air Force, while serving, he served as Assistant Chief of Emergency Services at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center, and a Spine Surgery Fellowship at the world renowned Maryland Spinal Reconstructive Surgery (Baltimore, MD).

David received is Physician Assistant degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
Dr. Hoski has been with CSNC since 2009 and has cared for the residents of western North Carolina since 1992. Originally from Gross Pointe Farms, Michigan, Dr. Hoski earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI). He then traveled south to the University of South Florida in Tampa where he completed a rotational internship, followed by his residency in orthopedic surgery. In 1991, he also completed a Fellowship in Spine Surgery at the University of Miami and Miami Children’s Hospital (Miami, FL).
Dr. Hoski is assisted by:
A native of St. Croix Falls, WI, Dr. Moody earned his medical degree in 1987 from Georgetown University Medical School (Washington, DC). After a transitional internship at University of Arizona Maricopa Medical Center, he remained in Phoenix to complete a four-year residency in orthopedic surgery. In 1992, Dr. Moody and his wife, moved to Asheville with their growing family so that he could complete a fellowship in spine surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Dr Kohout joined CSNC full time in February 2019. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree for the University of Florida and his Medical Degree from Medical University of South Carolina. He did his fellowship in Primary Sports Medicine and New York University, Longone Medical Center, New York, New York. Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation was done at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia
Jessica joined CSNC after earning her Masters of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South College in Knoxville, TN. She also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology from the College of Charleston (Charleston, SC) and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Her hobbies include cooking, exploring the outdoors, antiquing, restoring furniture and spending time with her husband.
Dr. Ney is a graduate of University of Kentucky School of Medicine in Lexington, KY. He also received his doctor of physical therapy degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Ney completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation from University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC, and most recently completed a fellowship in spine and interventional pain medicine from OrthoCarolina in Winston-Salem, NC. He joined CSNC in 2015.
Jessica joined CSNC after earning her Masters of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South College in Knoxville, TN. She also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology from the College of Charleston (Charleston, SC) and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Her hobbies include cooking, exploring the outdoors, antiquing, restoring furniture and spending time with her husband.
- Physical Therapists -
Received her DPT from Sage Graduate School in Troy, New York. Her BS in Kinesiology was from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA
Donna graduated from University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine in 1996. She brings over 20 years of experienced as a physical therapist to Carolina Spine & Neurosurgery. In addition to working with CSNC patients, Donna has, in her spare time, also partnered with the Asheville Tennis Association, offering a Yoga for Tennis Players program.

Sandy attended Ithaca College and graduated in 1989. She joined Carolina Spine in 1999.
Alex joined Carolina Spine in the Spring of 2020. He received both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from Old Dominion University.
